What's The Talbert House Data Breach Settlement About?

Talbert House in Ohio was breached in July and September of 2021,
according to reports. They found data from Marketo that had been sold to
non-profit agencies. The non-profit agency also collected data from clients
and employees, as well as data from third parties and partners.

Talbert House suffered a data security breach on or about June 11, 2021,
that potentially compromised the Private Information of its clients, patients,
employees, partners, and third parties. Talbert House provided notice to
individuals whose Private Information may have been impacted, alleging
that it failed to adequately protect the Private Information of the potentially
affected individuals and asserting various claims, including negligence,
negligence per se, invasion of privacy, breach of implied contract, breach of
fiduciary duty, and unjust enrichment. Talbert House denies the allegations
            and disputes them.

     How Do I Qualify?

If your Private Information was potentially compromised in the June 2021
Data Security Incident at Talbert House and if it was kept on Talbert
House's system, you are a member of the Settlement Class. Additionally,
Talbert House experienced a Data Security Incident involving certain
subclass of individuals whose Social Security number, driver's license
number, and/or financial information (credit and/or account information)
            were included.

     How much will I get?

Class Members may seek monetary compensation for verified losses
            including:

    • up to $100 for loss of time reimbursement at $20 per hour;

            losses per claimant.

processing your Claim if you submit a timely Claim Form for monetary
recovery. Upon the Court granting a final approval order, you will be eligible

When the court is gonna approve the settlement?

Even though the Class Action has already been preliminarily approved by
the Court, the judgment that will impact the rights of all members of the
Class must be given final approval before it can be implemented. The
Notice is intended to alert the Settlement Class of the Court's decision to
preliminarily certify the Settlement Class, and to provide them with the
opportunity to opt out of the class and to express their view on whether to
            finalize the Settlement Agreement.

The Lawsuit Settlement is anticipated to be approved by February 8, 2023.
If the Court does not grant final approval to the Settlement Agreement, or if
it is terminated by the Parties, the Settlement Agreement will be void and
the class certification will proceed as stipulated. This settlement will provide
you with compensation if you suffered certain losses as a result of the
defendant's conduct. The hearing to determine whether or not to approve
the settlement is scheduled, and you are not required to attend. Please, be
aware that the hearing may be postponed to a later date, and if it is, please
            be patient.
